Cinematic Chanson is a movie without images, a dream woven from melodies that traverse the realms of reality and imagination. This musical form serves as a visionary bridge between the “extracolto” style—music that defies tradition—and the austere elegance of classical compositions. Within its passages, lyrical brilliance illuminates the expressive soul of the accordion, which, with its unparalleled expressiveness, takes the stage as a soloist, engaging in a tender dialogue with the rich textures of the strings. At times, this conversation unfolds through contrapuntal themes, while at others, it resonates with polyphonic harmonies. The accordion emerges as a chameleon of sound, revealing its virtuosic versatility with every note. This project, an odyssey without visuals, embarks upon a cinematic journey rich with sensory images. It cascades like a waterfall, merging original compositions with innovative arrangements, crafting a symphony that exists beyond the confines of the screen.

Cinematic Chanson è un film senza immagini. La forma si presenta come una sintesi fra il mondo della musica cosiddetta “extracolta” ed il classicismo più tradizionale. Momenti di forte lirismo mettono in luce le qualità espressive della fisarmonica, in stretta correlazione musicale con le “immagini” sonore orchestrali degli archi. Alle espressività cantabili dello strumento solista si contrappone un contenuto musicale caratterizzato dalla capacità atletica dello strumento in continuo scambio tra il tessuto orchestrale, talvolta in forma polifonica accordale, in interplay con le infinite possibilità virtuose dello strumento solista. Il progetto, ideato e prodotto sul mio modo di suonare la fisarmonica, si presenta come un’unica partitura, divisa in otto brani dal sapore cinematografico, ricco di immagini sensoriali ma non visive, in un insieme e susseguirsi di brani tra musica originale e arrangiamenti originali.
